Site Inspector

Summary/Objective

The Site Inspector is responsible for performing visual site inspections of property, equipment and general safety. Some light maintenance is required. and to provide complete customer satisfaction in a polite and professional manner. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Effectively inspect equipment, property and general site safety. Recommends subsequent action to customer necessary to correct situation.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor and promotes goodwill between the company and customers by providing a superior level of customer service.
  • Observes, analyzes, and determines corrective course of action for service and repair of customer equipment.
  • In some cases, performs necessary repairs to correct analyzed situations in a professional and productive manner.
  • Opens and closes work orders with Dispatch, provides service repair narratives (written and verbal) for customer, and submits paperwork for time worked and repairs completed in a neat, accurate and timely manner.
  • Accounts for 100% of paid time.
  • Maintains part inventory and supplies in van.
  • Maintains service van to ensure that it is clean, organized and hazard free inside and out
  • Responsible for maintaining personal tools required for performing the job effectively and safely.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.   
  • Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card

Required Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma/GED and/or one to three years mechanical and electrical, experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education.
  • Excellent people skills and verbal communication required.
  • Knowledge of reading schematics and manuals.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions.
  • Ability to safely operate personal hand tools.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Experience or Certification(s) in one or more of the following would be a plus:

  • Fueling Industry Certifications
  • HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical
  • Utility Line Experience. (Cable, internet, phone, etc.)
  • Computer Technician
  • Auto Mechanic, Oil Change Tech
  • Site safety inspector
  • Sign installation
  • Appliance technician

Insurability requirement:

Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.            

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full and Part-time positions available. Normal hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
